Happy Monday beauties!! Being from the frigid North my skincare routine is one of the MOST important parts of my day. I have combination skin which makes it very vulnerable to the cold. After countless at home remedies and trying almost everything under the sun, I've found my go to winter skin routine to keep my skin looking bright and beautiful all year around.

It is so important to take care of your skin! I do this skin care routine at least 1-2 times a week, and a variation of it every day. These products each compliment each other and are so great for the skin in their own way.

To start make sure you have a fresh and clean slate to work with--so throw your fav headband on and get rid of all the make-up and oils from the day. After that give yourself a good scrub using the Herbalism face cleanser by Lush. Literally, I promise this will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Lush uses all natural ingredients so everything they make is only the best of the best for your skin! Herbalism has a base of kaolin clay and rice bran to mop up excess oils, and a toning blend of rosemary, nettle and chamomile to leave skin feeling fresh, clean and calm!

Next, you need a good heavy spritz of the facial spray by Mario Badescu (only $7 from Ulta!). I have such a horrible red based undertone, so this product literally saves me! The combinations of Lavender essential water with aloe and Chamomile mix together to leave your skin feeling refreshed and calm.

After you've let all the goods sink in, I apply a face mask. The one shown in my first picture was aloe based due to my skin feeling extra distressed. I suggested finding a face mask that matches how your skin is feeling that day. My favorites are ones I can leave on for a good 20-30 minutes (easy to squeeze an episode of Friends in then!)

After gently rinsing or pealing your face mask away it's important to apply your moisturizer directly next. This helps it sink in to your pores while their open to leave your skin feeling baby butt smooth! I then put on my favorite hydrating eye mask. Great for after a night of no sleep or crying from too many chick-flicks. They're meant to detox and de-puff last nights worries and they sure do the trick!

Last but not least, I always, always put under eye brightening cream on. I never used to do this, but after the first few months I noticed a dramatic increase in the hydration and brightness of my eyes! A new must in my skincare routine.

That concludes my favorite winter skincare routine--thanks for reading! I hope this skincare routine give your skin the life it needs!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Huber
